Launched on 13 June 2022, the Indian Railways Innovation Policy invites startups and MSMEs to build solutions for problem statements posted by Railway zones and units.

Bring startup innovation into railway operations, maintenance and safety, with a transparent online process and defined timelines.
Who can apply?
- Indian startups, MSMEs, innovators and entrepreneurs responding to a published Railways problem statement.
What do you get?
- Grant up to ₹1.5 crore per innovator on an equal (50:50) cost-sharing basis, paid milestone-wise.
- Intellectual property remains with the innovator; successful prototypes can be scaled up through Railway orders.
