ANIC is AIM's challenge programme that funds technology startups to cross the 'commercialisation valley of death' — from prototype to first customers.
Objectives
Seek, select, support and nurture technology-based innovations that solve sectoral challenges of national importance and societal relevance (education, health, water & sanitation, agriculture, food processing, housing, energy, mobility, space applications).
Who can apply?
- Indian startups and MSMEs with a prototype-stage technology innovation that matches a published ANIC challenge statement (criteria per call).
What do you get?
- Grant of up to ₹1 crore, released over 12–18 months, to productise and commercialise the innovation.
- Access to AIM's incubator, mentor and partner network.
How to apply
ANIC runs in challenge rounds announced on aim.gov.in (24 challenges run so far). No round was open in early October 2026.
