What changed since the June playbook

DPIIT's playbook is a June snapshot. These are the changes that matter most, newest first.

  1. Between calls RDI Fund's first cohort, then a pause22 projects, 14 of them startups, got ₹2,192 crore at about 3–4%. TDB stopped taking new proposals on 30 Sep 2026.
  2. New policy 12 states changed their rulesNew startup policies in Goa, UP, Delhi, Karnataka, Assam, MP and Tripura, and new industrial policies in Gujarat and Punjab. Delhi's, approved on 16 Jul 2026, is the latest.
  3. Closed SISFS stopped taking applicationsThe Startup India Seed Fund closed to new startups. No successor has been announced.
  4. Open now Fund of Funds 2.0 went live₹10,000 crore for AIFs across deep tech, early-stage, manufacturing and sector-agnostic funds.
  5. Renewal awaited SIPP facilitator support lapsedFree patent and trademark facilitators ended. The fee concessions for startups continue.
  6. Correction DRDO's TDF funds up to ₹50 croreThe June 2026 playbook still says ₹10 crore per project. The limit was raised to ₹50 crore in June 2022.
